Purpose |
The IUPAC-2015 Organizing Committee and the Korean Chemical Society support the IUPAC-2015 Financial Assistant for Chemists from Under-represented Countries (see below for list) to encourage their participation. The program provides funding for outstanding chemists from under-represented countries to travel to and participate in the IUPAC 2015 World Chemistry Congress being held in Busan, Korea. |

Financial Assistant |
The IUPAC-2015 Financial Assistant for Chemists from Under-represented Countries will be made on the basis of scientific achievement and financial need. Fund will cover the expenses for registration, gala dinner, travel (round-trip economy class air tickets), and accommodations. |

Eligibility |
The Assistant is intended for outstanding chemists from developing countries with the chemistry-related professions. For the list of eligible countries, please visit, http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/weo/2014/01/pdf/text.pdf and see Table E (p162). PhD Students or Postdoctoral Scholars are ineligible.
Applicants must be currently:
• Hold a position in developing countries at the time of application |

Application Deadline |
All application material must be received by the application close date. The application deadline is February 28, 2015. Any applications made after the due date will not be considered. |

Application Materials |
In the online application process, the applicant will be required to provide and upload the following:
• A short biography (100 words or less, may be posted on the IUPAC-2015 website).
• Current curriculum vita including permanent address and publication list (PDF or word file).
